Roll out the red carpet – the 2013 Olivier Awards are here! As the world turns its attention to celebrate the success and achievement within London theatre, the May Fair Hotel has been named the official hotel partner to the 2013 Olivier Awards. And in celebration of this prestigious awards ceremony the May Fair has created a collection of theatrical cocktails, its ‘Olivier’s Collection’ will be available for a limited time only, from the May Fair Bar.

Chosen by the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), the May Fair Hotel has also been confirmed to play host to the highly anticipated Nominees Announcement – a testament to the hotel’s theatrical roots and continued support of London’s theatre and film culture. Already the home to Fashion, Art, Music and Film, this luxury London hotel leads the way in supporting London’s cultural scene, and is proud to be able to add London Theatre to its official portfolio.

The Olivier’s Collection, designed exclusively for the Olivier Awards, is a result of a collaboration between the May Fair Bar’s expert team of mixologists and inspiration from the stage:

London’s iconic May Fair Hotel has been synonymous with the entertainment industry since the 1950’s when it was owned by the American Danziger Brothers. The hotel is also the official hotel partner to the BFI’s London Film Festival, and with its incredible 201 seated theatre and fabulous location, the May Fair has hosted some of London’s top premieres here.

Julian Bird, Chief Executive of the Society of London Theatre and Executive Producer of the Awards, said:

“The Olivier Awards with MasterCard honour and celebrate excellence in theatre, and we are thrilled to be announcing the nominations for the Awards at the May Fair. The nominations shortlist will be broadcast live around the world and we can think of nowhere more appropriate than London’s chic and stylish May Fair Hotel to set the scene for these exciting announcements. With its very own theatre space the hotel’s appreciation and support of the arts is evident, and therefore was the perfect choice of location”.

This year the presentation of the 37th Olivier Awards will take place at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday 28th April, when distinguished guests from London’s theatre scene will join winners and celebrities at the glamorous red carpet event.
