You may have read Anthony Lee, our General Manager, raving about 150 at The May Fair – and for good reason, it’s one of the coolest bars in town and now the ultimate venue to sip your favourite vintage Champagne.

We popped in to 150 this week to have a look at the menu and plan our night out – here’s some pointers for you to make the best of your evening:

West Mersea native oysters with sevruga caviar and szechuan buttons– For a pre-party gathering

If you’re just popping in before your big night out the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 menu is perfect. Choose between 4 to 12 magnums depending on the number of your guests and you will also be served beautifully paired canapes from Silvena Rowe. From ‘Lobster tail and tropical salsa with cumin flavoured creme fraiche’ to ‘Ottoman spiced lamb cutlet with coconut and green harissa’ this is most elegant way to line one’s stomach for the night ahead. (For 12 people with 4 magnums and canapés from £2,400).

– For an intimate anniversary celebration

The Moët & Chandon Experience at 150 comes with a bottle personalised Swarovski Crystals, a wonderful touch if you are celebrating your anniversary with close friends (includes 4 magnums of Moët & Chandon Impérial (one personalised) – £650).

– For a big birthday

For a big brithday, don’t hold back. The Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 1998 menu is superb for an exquisite drinks reception and comes with canapes such as ‘Seared diver caught scallops and sevruga cavier remoulade’ and ‘Crispy spiced jumbo prawns with avocado and tahini’ that match perfectly with the vibrant vintage rose. (For 36 people with 12 magnums and canapes from £13,200).

Fois gras canapé – For catching up with old friends

The biblically sounding Jeroboam (or double magnum) is ideal for catching up with old friends on the comfortable velvet sofas at 150. Choose the Dom Pérignon Vintage 1999 – a classic vintage that will delight the most discriminating palate. (Dom Pérignon Vintage 1999 Jeroboam from £3,000).

– For celebrating a big promotion

For an upbeat party to celebrate your promotion, grab all your friends for the ‘Belvedere Vodka Infusion Experience’. Try out new flavours with suggestions from your designated personal mixologist and enjoy the superior taste of Belvedere Pure. (2 magnums of Belvedere Pure with mixers and a personal mixologist from £850).
