‘Golden’ tips from our concierge team 1

Posted in London Reporter, Mayfair Village, Staff interviews

Headed up by Darren Marlow, the concierge team at The May Fair all have the prestigious ‘Golden Keys’ – a badge of honour amongst concierges all over London and the UK. The Golden Keys Society bring together uniformed concierges across the country who have had their knowledge put to the test and have been recognised for their impeccable reccommendations and local information.

We spoke to the team this week to find out what they would reccommend for the ultimate night or day out in London:

Darren at The May FairDarren: Darren can organise a personal shopper to take you to Bond Street or Mount Street, the most exclusive shopping streets in London. Find the perfect outfit for any occasion or let your stylist assist with putting together your whole wardrobe for the coming season. He can organise an executive car to to take you there and have all your purchases delivered back to your room.

Stan: For an elegant evening out, let Stan organise tickets to the Royal Opera House – even at the last minute minute he can get you the best seats in the house, and then dinner at Hakkasan or the Nobu Berkley. Your private car will be waiting to pick you up whenever you’re ready.

Paul: For a great day out take the boat down the Thames to Greenwich where you can visit the park or the Maritime museum – one of Paul’s all time favourites, then have a relaxed late lunch in one of the pubs.

The May Fair barJeremy: The hotel’s resident nightclub specialist – Jeremy can organise entry to any nightclub in London. Book your VIP table with him and then relax with a pre-party glass of Champagne at 150.

David: At the moment the Champions League Finals (next Wednesday 25th May) are the most sought after tickets in London – but it’s who you know. For hard-to-get tickets to sporting events, David’s your man.

Mirel: London has thousands of restaurants and it’s difficult to know what to eat when you get choice paralysis – Mirel is recommending Corrigan’s, Dean St. Townhouse or Hix as his eateries of the month.
