I’m

back from ten days in New York and I have to say I’ve never seen so much snow in my life! I almost had to give up taxis and get a gang of huskies in to get around from block to block – about four or five feet of snow in places! New York itself was absolutely fantastic! We covered practically everybody from the Media to Travel Trade and Corporate market on what we’re up to at the May Fair, which of course is so exciting as we enter into 2011.

Anthony's blogWe had a number of cocktail parties and luncheons for owners and presidents of companies and in between all of that Silvena our celebrity chef joined me for another mission. We were working with Mario Batali in his kitchens sharing best practice. During that time we did a lot of interviews with top food media and all in all we picked up a great number of ideas that will be implemented into the function and design of Quince – opening towards end of April after an enormous makeover! Don’t miss it!

Having arrived back only a week ago from New York, we launched 150 at the May Fair to the Media on Tuesday evening and that went down a treat. We had 14 members of the Media who experienced a vintage Dom Perignon 2000, and a Rose 1998 with Silvena’s food pairings which are absolutely to die for – a teaser really to what’s coming in Quince so I cannot wait.

We’re very excited about London Fashion Week on our doorstep that kicked off last Friday. We have a number of rather cool ideas, from live fashion catwalks being projected on to the wall in the lobby to designers dressing mannequins in their new couture and I think it’s going to be one of the most exciting fashion events yet at The May Fair. Lots of parties, lots of events and the penthouse is going to be absolutely rocking. I can’t wait to be part and parcel of it all!

Have fun, look out for us and don’t blink because you’ll miss all the fun here at The May Fair

Warmest wishes

Anthony Lee
