Today we spoke to Marios Elias, Manager of The May Fair Bar, and here is what he had to say about the best bar in London.

1. Why do you enjoy working at The May Fair Bar?

I just love the buzz of the bar. I love working with people as well as all the excitement and atmosphere there is around the bar.

2. Why do you think The May Fair Bar is popular?

Firstly I think the amazing location has a lot to do with it, it’s a popular bar in Mayfair so it’s the perfect place to start your night and all the best clubs in town are around the corner if you don’t want your night to end.

Our team at the bar is great, not only are they good looking but they are all very friendly and go out of their way to help – and that’s a huge reason why a lot of people keep coming back.

We have a great vibe in the bar which many people want to be part of.

We serve the best cocktails in town!

3. What is the bar crowd like?

The crowd varies from all ages and people from all industries – fashion, music, banking….but generally a really cool laid back crowd that adds to the atmosphere of the bar.

4. What is the most random request you have had from a customer?

Actually one customer asked me for some cuff links – which I thought was pretty random!

Definitely Thursday and Friday nights.

7. Are there any exclusive drinks to The May Fair Bar?

Actually other than the ‘classic section’ in the cocktail menu, all cocktails have been made up by our experts here at the May Fair Bar. We also have a drink exclusive to London Fashion Week which is the ‘In Style’ cocktail so look out for that!

8. Do you have to book a table?

Yes definitely from Wednesday through to Saturday, especially from now till Christmas.

9. What type of food do you serve?

For Breakfast and lunch we have an excellent À la Carte menu and from 5pm to 9pm we have sharing platters.

10. What is the most expensive drink you serve? The May Fair Martini it’s £150 – It is expensive because we use 18th Century Cognac infused with Moet Chandon rose champagne, so it is worth it!
